24th Panaad sa Negros Festival Schedule of Events
Panaad sa Negros , considered as "Mother of all Festivals" of all idividual festival from 13 cities and 19 towns and municipalities of Negros Island. The word "Panaad" came from Hiligaynon word means "vow or promise" in celebration and thanksgiving for Divine Providence. This years theme "Shinning bright @ 24" Panaad sa Negros is celebrating its 24th year of prosperity. How it Started It started it all on 1993 where the first celebration of the festival was held on Capitol Park and Lagoon. From 1993 to 1997 the festival were held on the same place not until the next year it was moved on now its called home to acomodate fast growing visitors across the country and all over the world. Since then the event is the crowd drawer that added tourism to the Negros Island. In 2008 it was awarded as Best Tourism Event ( Provincial Level) by Department of Tourism and the Association of Tourism Officers of the Philippines ( DOT-ATOP ). The 25 hectares P
