Bohol Sandugo Festival Schedule of Activities 2017
Sandugo Festival is Bohol's biggest festival. It is a month long celebration held annually. Also Sandugo is a historical celebration that takes place in Tagbilaran City in the beautiful island of Bohol . The festival commemorates the Treaty of Friendship between Datu Sikatuna, a chieftain in Bohol and Miguel Lopez de Legazpi a Spanish conquistador. This 16th-century peace treaty occured on March 16, 1565 through a blood compact or "Sandugo."
