MassKara Festival Schedule Of Events 2022
One of the most anticipated festival not only in the city of Bacolod but also in the Province and the country as well will once again celebrate Masskara Festival. It is an annual celebration every fourth Sunday of October based on the ordinance authored by Councilor Em Ang.

The word "Masskara" is a portmanteau, coined by the late artist Ely Santiago from mass (a multitute of people), and cara (face), thus forming MassKara (a multitude of faces). The word is also a pun on maskara, Filipino for "mask" (itself from Spanish mascara), since it is a prominent feature of the festival and are always adorned with smiling faces, giving rise to Bacolod being called the "City of Smiles". >> Wikipedia
If you haven't been to the "City of Smile" and haven't experience Masskara Festival you must start planning now! Book early for your hotel to get cheaper price.
For first timer, take note of the festival sites so you would not found yourself being lost. Although sometimes being lost is little bit fun and lead to great things and great discovery right?.
Festival sites are the following:
Bacolod Public Plaza, Panaad sa Negros, Pagla-um Sports Complex, The Lacson Tourism Strip and the Bacolod Government Center (BGC).

Masskara Festival Schedule of Events 2022
The city government of Bacolod releases the official Masskara Festival schedule. But the highlights will be on October 23, 2022. In addition to the Masskara Streetdancing Competition, Electric Masskara is another most awaited event.
Other major events are the following: Masskara Queen, carnivals, drum and bugle corps competition, food festival, musical concerts, garden show, sports events, mask making contest, agriculture-trade fair and more.
